Book Groups

Morro Bay Book Discussion Groups – free programs at the Morro Bay Library, funded by the Morro Bay Friends of the Library

We are made up of a community of readers and students of life interested in learning and exploring different genres of books and literature. Come to any or all sessions!

Regular Book Discussion Group

The Book Discussion group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 10AM until noon. If you like the idea of discussing books you have just read or just want to learn more about a book before you read it, this is the place to be! Participants will have a chance to read and discuss anything from the latest bestsellers, classics, traditional literature, historical fiction, mysteries or non-fiction books. Join us in animated and thoughtful discussion as we explore a variety of diverse and interesting books.

November 7: “We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves” by Karen Joy Fowler, Discussion led by Kelly Smith

Mystery Readers Book Discussion Group

The Mystery Readers group meets the third Wednesday of every month from 10AM until noon.  We read and discuss a wide spectrum of mysteries, thrillers and suspense novels. Interested lovers of mysteries are encouraged to come and discuss murder, mayhem and crime!

No November meeting.

All book discussion groups meet in the program room at Morro Bay Library.  For the comfort of all, please come fragrance free to these events.
